Saving Zanzibar Cathedral
Friends of Zanzibar Cathedral are not ourselves a registered charity. We support Christ Church Cathedral in Zanzibar by publicising the urgent need for funds to save this historic building.
If you would like to support the work, please make your donation through CED. As the web link does not allow gifts to be earmarked to this particular project, please e-mail treasurer@ced.org.uk to let them know how the funds are to be used. Alternatively, cheques can be sent to the secretary at the address on the CED "contact us" page with a note that the gift is for Zanzibar Cathedral. UK tax payers can “gift aid” their gifts to allow a tax reclaim. CED will acknowledge receipt of your gift.

If you’d like to visit the cathedral, St. Monica's Tours could organise your stay. You might stay at St. Monica's Hostel within historic Stone Town. Alternatively there are tourist hotels, some on the beach. The scenic way to arrive is by high speed ferry from Dar-es-Salaam though there are also regular domestic and international flights. The Cathedral is open daily.
